On mobile, tap <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-46714\" src=\"https:\/\/help.worksmobile.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/2020-07-03-164523.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"16\" \/> to open the menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select the 'External Contacts' tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'Manage Fields' at the top right.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'Add Field' at the top right.<\/li>\n<li>Enter 'Name' and select 'Type'. You can select between 'Text' and 'Link' for 'Type'. This setting cannot be changed after the field is added.\n<ul>\n<li>Text: Displays a text field. You can enter up to 20 characters.<\/li>\n<li>Link: Displays an external website link. Link text can be set, and a URL is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Set 'Value count' and propertyName. This setting cannot be changed after the field is added.\n<ul>\n<li>Value count: Choose between 'Single' or 'Multiple'. If you select 'Multiple', you can enter up to 10 values for that field.<\/li>\n<li>propertyName: Enter the value to be used when integrating with external systems. If you don't enter it, a random value will be generated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click 'Save'.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"entry-content \">\n<h1 id=\"i-4-1\">Change the order of fields<\/h1>\n<p>Change the order in which the added fields are displayed in external contacts.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the left menu of Admin, select 'Service' to expand the menu, then click 'Contacts' to go to 'Contacts'. On mobile, tap <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-46714\" src=\"https:\/\/help.worksmobile.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/2020-07-03-164523.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"16\" \/> to open the menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select the 'External Contacts' tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'Manage Fields' at the top right.<\/li>\n<li>Drag the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-48926 s_img\" src=\"https:\/\/help.worksmobile.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/grabber.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" \/> icon on the left of the field to rearrange the order as desired.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1 id=\"i-4-2\">Rename a field<\/h1>\n<p>Rename an added field.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the left menu of Admin, select 'Service' to expand the menu, then click 'Contacts' to go to 'Contacts'. On mobile, tap <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-46714\" src=\"https:\/\/help.worksmobile.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/2020-07-03-164523.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"16\" \/> to open the menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select the 'External Contacts' tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'Manage Fields' at the top right.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'Edit' to the right of the field you want to rename and change 'Name'.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<p>Other settings, except for the field name, cannot be changed after the field is added.<\/p>\n<h1 id=\"i-4-2\">Delete fields<\/h1>\n<p>Delete an added field.<\/p>\n<p>Deleting a field removes it from all contact information and cannot be restored.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the left menu of Admin, select 'Service' to expand the menu, then click 'Contacts' to go to 'Contacts'.
