{"id":53739,"date":"2020-03-09T15:30:30","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T06:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"\/en\/windows-10-version-after-1809\/install\/"},"modified":"2026-04-09T09:20:28","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T00:20:28","slug":"install","status":"publish","type":"use-guides","link":"https:\/\/help.worksmobile.com\/en\/use-guides\/drive\/explorer\/macos\/install\/","title":{"rendered":"Install and start Drive Explorer (macOS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"green lw_tip\"><div class=\"lw_tip_content\">This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive or the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.<\/div><\/div><br \/>\nInstall Drive Explorer to use NAVER WORKS Drive, the cloud storage, as if using PC folders.<\/p>\n<div class=\"display-control for-ko for-en\">\n<div class=\"comment\">\/\/ start of content for ko en<\/div>\n<p>Select 'Collaborative Folders', 'Message Room Folders', 'My Drive', and 'Shared Folder' for real-time sync, and optimize PC capacity by setting the sync status for each file.<\/p>\n<div class=\"comment\">\/\/ end of content for ko en<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"display-control for-ko for-en for-tw\">\n<div class=\"comment\">\/\/ start of content for ko en tw<\/div>\n<p>To use Drive Explorer without issues, please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/help.worksmobile.com\/\/en\/use-guides\/settings\/supported-environment\/\">system requirements guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"comment\">\/\/ end of content for ko en tw<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"display-control for-jp\">\n<div class=\"comment\">\/\/ start of content for jp<\/div>\n<p>To use Drive Explorer without issues, please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"\/ja\/use-guides\/settings\/supported-environment\/\">system requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"comment\">\/\/ end of content for jp<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h1>System requirements<\/h1>\n<p>Drive Explorer can be installed on macOS version 12.0 and later.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disk format type: APFS<\/li>\n<li>Memory: 8 GB or above<\/li>\n<li>Minimum capacity: 3 GB<\/li>\n<li>Recommended capacity: 1 TB or above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>How to check your OS version<\/h1>\n<p>Drive Explorer cannot be installed on macOS versions prior to 12.0.<\/p>\n<p>Check your OS version and update it to use the latest features.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select 'System Settings' from the menu bar at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'About This Mac'.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>Permission settings guide<\/h1>\n<p>Written based on macOS 15 (Sequoia).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the download page.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'Download' in Drive Explorer for macOS.<\/li>\n<li>Run the saved file to install Drive Explorer.<\/li>\n<li>After installation, click 'System Settings' in the menu bar at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n<li>Click 'General' in the left menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select 'Login items and extensions'.<\/li>\n<li>Find the 'File Providers' item in the 'Extensions' area at the bottom of the screen and click the \u24d8 icon.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on the NAVER WORKS Drive item and click Done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>Access path to the sync folder list<\/h1>\n<p>When Drive Explorer is newly installed, do not proceed with synchronization settings by selecting folders one by one.<\/p>\n<p>Once Drive Explorer is installed, if you click 'NAVER WORKS Drive - myID@mycompany.com (Show My Drive Explorer Account Information)' in Finder, all folders on the PC web will be displayed.<\/p>\n<p>All folders on your PC web Drive are reflected immediately upon installation without the need to configure any separate synchronization settings, making it easy and convenient to use.<\/p>\n<p>If synchronization is completed after installation and the folder exists in the Drive Explorer folder list as 'online-only', it will be displayed in the Drive Explorer folder list even during updates. 'Local-only' files, on the other hand, will not be displayed.<\/p>\n<p>If the installation was completed successfully but folders are not reflected on the PC web Drive, check the following:<\/p>\n<h2>Check new Drive Explorer sync path<\/h2>\n<p>When you install the new Drive Explorer, the existing Drive Explorer will be unsynchronized.<\/p>\n<p>If you navigate to the existing Drive Explorer sync folder list, it will no longer be synchronized, even if it remains.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the sync folder list in the existing Drive Explorer is no longer synchronized.<\/p>\n<p>To access the sync folder list in the new Drive Explorer, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the tray icon.<\/li>\n<li>When the tray window appears, click 'Open Finder' at the bottom.<\/li>\n<li>When Finder opens, click NAVER WORKS Drive - myid@mycompany.com (the account using My Explorer) under 'Where' on the left.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>Delete the previous Drive Explorer<\/h1>\n<p>While installing a new Drive Explorer, a message is displayed asking if you want to delete the previous Drive Explorer.<\/p>\n<p>If you select 'Do not allow' when initially setting OS permissions, you cannot delete the previous Drive Explorer.<\/p>\n<p>The message asking whether to allow permission is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The system requires permission to control 'System Events.app' from 'NAVER WORKS Drive.app'. Granting control permits access to documents and data in 'System Events.app' and enables the app to perform actions. [Do not allow][OK]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you select 'Do not allow', you cannot delete the previous Drive Explorer.<\/p>\n<p>Finder control must be allowed to delete the previous Drive Explorer.<\/p>\n<p>If you run the previous Drive Explorer with OS permissions set to 'Do not allow', it cannot be deleted.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, please grant Finder control permissions, and select 'OK' when the message appears again.<\/p>\n<p>If the previous Drive Explorer is not deleted even after selecting OK, proceed with the deletion after configuring the settings as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to 'System Settings &gt; General &gt; Login Items and Extensions'.<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u24d8 icon next to the Endpoint Security Extension item.<\/li>\n<li>Disable the toggle button on the right of NAVER WORKS Drive.app.<\/li>\n<li>Attempt manual deletion again<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the previous Drive Explorer does not get deleted properly, it may be an issue caused by restrictions on complete deletion because the app is implemented in an Enterprise format.<\/p>\n<p>Perform the deletion using one of the two methods below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Method 1: Do not select and delete individual apps from the Trash; instead, use the 'Empty Trash' function to delete the app along with all other items in bulk.<\/li>\n<li>Method 2: Launch the Terminal app and attempt to delete the app directly using the command format below.\n<ul>\n<li>sudo rm -rf <span class=\"error\">[app's Trash path + app name]<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li data-uuid=\"38d337ee-b7af-4664-bdfc-2df15286816e\">How to check the app path:\n<ul>\n<li>Right-click the app in the Trash and select 'Get Info'.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click the path under 'Where' and select 'Copy as Pathname'.\n<ul>\n<li>Example: \/Users\/username\/.Trash\/ --&gt; \/Users\/truong.hoang\/.Trash<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>How to check the app name:\n<ul>\n<li>Right-click the app, select 'Rename', and copy the full name.<\/li>\n<li>If the name contains spaces, add {} before the spaces.\n<ul>\n<li>Example: NAVER WORKS Drive.app \u2192 NAVER WORKS\\ Drive.app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li data-uuid=\"ca1efa69-a40d-4a3c-94db-ba1d8eec1535\">Final example command: sudo rm -rf \/Users\/truong.hoang\/.Trash\/WORKS\\ Drive.app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Guide to viewing the sync folder list<\/h1>\n<p>If, after installing the new Drive Explorer, you click on the created 'NAVER WORKS Drive -myid@mycompany.com' in the 'Where' menu on the left side of Finder but the sync folder list does not appear, an error has occurred in 'NAVER WORKS Drive - myid@mycompany.com' at the top of the screen. The item may have expired.
