Create events

This feature is available after applying for NAVER WORKS Core.

You can create one-time, repeating, and all-day events in NAVER WORKS Calendar.

You can also invite other members for collaboration and add resources, video meetings, and memos.

Mobile App

  1. Tap in Calendar.
  2. Enter the title, time, resource, attendees, location, and memo for the event.
  3. Tap 'Save' to save the event.

PC Web

  1. Click 'New Event' at the top left of Calendar.
  2. Enter the title in 'Title'.
  3. Set 'Date & Time'.
  4. Click 'Save'.

You can also check the availability of attendees and resources to automatically find available times for your event.

Event title

Enter the title of an event. When you save an event without entering a title, an event is created where the title is 'No title'.

Event time

Select the start and end date and time of the event.

Select as an all-day event

Check the checkbox of 'All Day' if the event lasts all day. All-day events are displayed by day in the My Events view.

Time zone

You can set the time zone you prefer to create events conveniently.

Once you change the time zone and save the event, you will see the event set to your time zone in My Calendar.

Create a recurring event

You can set events, like weekly meetings, as recurring events.

You can select one of the following cycles: daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.

Calendar

You can select the calendar to add the events. The default is set as Default Calendar.

For calendars you shared or shared with you, you can add events in the calendar with permission to edit.

Attendees

You can search for attendees or select them from the organization chart to invite them to an event.

However, you cannot select LINE or external NAVER WORKS users as attendees from the organization chart.

Also, you cannot invite attendees when creating events in External Group Message Room.

Mark as required/optional

For each attendee, you can specify whether the event is required or optional to attend.

Press 'Required' next to an attendee to mark as 'Optional'. Press once more to mark as 'Required'.

Once you designate attendees, the 'Find Available Times' function automatically shows the free time of all the attendees.

You can easily invite email recipients or members of the message room to the event all at once.

Grant permission to edit events

You can grant 'Editing permission' to allow attendees to edit the information on the invited event.

This option can be set only in the PC web calendar.

PC Web

  1. Add attendees to the event.
  2. In 'Editing permission' at the bottom of the attendees section, click a permission to grant to the attendees.

The permissions you can grant to the attendees are as follows.

Permission Description
Invite other attendees Allow attendees to invite others to the event.
Edit event Allow attendees to edit the key information on the event (title, date and time, attendees, notes, etc.).

If 'Edit event' is selected, attendees can edit the key information on the event on the PC web.

Note that attendees who are either an external company user or an external NAVER WORKS user cannot edit the event information regardless of the permission settings.

Video meeting

You can create a link for a video meeting or enter the link shared with you.

If a meeting link is added to the event, the invited attendees can join the meeting directly from the event screen.

Reserve a resource

You can make a reservation for the resources added by the administrator, such as conference rooms and video conference devices.

Mobile App

  1. In the new event screen, tap 'Add Resource'.
  2. Select the resources you want to reserve.
  3. Tap .

PC Web

  1. In the new event page, click 'Reserve'.
  2. Select the resources you want to reserve.
  3. Click 'Reserve'.

Press of frequently used resources to view them in the 'Favorites' tab.

Location

You can enter location information for the event.

Attach a map

You can attach a map to add information on the event location.

Depending on your country or device, you will be asked to consent to the terms of location services if you are attaching a map for the first time after installing the app.

Memo

You can add the details of your event in text form.

Attach a file

Click 'My PC' to attach files to your event.

File attachments are only available in the PC Web calendar.

Privacy

You can set whether to disclose the detailed information on the event to others.

  • Visibility: The event will be visible to the attendees of the event and the members who have permission to view the event details in the calendar.
  • Private: The event details will only be visible to the attendees of the event and the members who have permission to manage the events of this calendar.

Category

You can display events in the color of the selected category.

The categories are only visible in the My events view and are not applied to the calendars of other attendees.

Reminder

You can set the time to receive reminders for your event.

The reminders are only sent to the creator of the event, not the attendees.

You can select between ‘Service notification’ and ‘Email notification’, where you can set up to 10 reminders for an event.

Mobile App

  1. Tap 'Add Reminder' or the already set reminder section on the new event screen.
  2. Select the time and method of receiving the reminder. You can set multiple reminders at once.
  3. Tap .

PC Web

  1. Click 'Add Reminder' on the new event page.
  2. Select the time and method of receiving the reminder.
  3. To delete a reminder, click at the right side.

Status

You can set your status as busy or free to allow others check your availability when creating an event.

  • Busy: Shows that you have a scheduled event for the selected time.
  • Free: Shows that you are free during the selected time.

Mark as important

You can mark events as important only in the PC web calendar.

PC Web

Click to the left of the event title to mark an event as important.

When you mark an event as important,  is displayed on the event in the PC web calendar’s My events view.

The mark is applied to members who share the same calendar. It will not be reflected on attendees of the event.

Save the event

If you have selected the attendees for the event, invitation notifications will be sent to the attendees.

If the attendees do not receive the notification for event invitations, check Notifications for event invitations or changes in Settings.
