To use the NAVER WORKS PC app in a network environment that connects to the Internet via a proxy server, each user needs to add the proxy server information.
However, once you set up a proxy server, voice and video calls will not be available.
Proxy setting is only available on Windows.
Proxy server settings
You can add proxy server information even when you are not logged in or have no Internet connection.
PC App
- Click on the app.
If you are not logged, find and right-click the NAVER WORKS app on the task bar at the bottom of the screen. - Click 'Settings'.
- Click the 'Connection' tab.
- Check the checkbox of 'Proxy Settings'.
- Enter the proxy server information as below:
- Type: Select between 'HTTP/HTTPS' and 'SOCKS', depending on the network environment you are using.
- Server: Enter the IP address of the proxy server.
- Port: Enter the port number needed to connect to the proxy server.
- Username: Enter the authentication ID of the proxy server.
- Password: Enter the authentication password for the proxy server.
- Click 'Apply'.
- After confirming that the proxy server connection is complete, click 'OK'.
- Confirm that the NAVER WORKS PC app will restart.
If you fail to set up the proxy server, the field with incorrect information will be highlighted in red. Edit the relevant information and click 'Apply'. Even if there is no field highlighted in red, the proxy server cannot be used if the NAVER WORKS server connection fails.
Disable proxy server settings
PC App
- Click on the app.
- Click 'Settings'.
- Click the 'Connection' tab.
- Uncheck the checkbox of 'Proxy Settings'.
- Click 'Apply'.
