Delete or restore folders/files (macOS)

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive or the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

Depending on their status, you can delete or restore folders and files.

Delete or restore 'Enable use online only' files

'Enable use online only' files are indicated with the synchronization status icon: .

If you have deleted 'Enable use online only' files, they can only be restored from the PC web Drive Trash.

 

Delete

  1. Right-click the online-only file to delete in the synced folder.
  2. Click 'Trash'.

 

Restore

macOS

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Open in PC Web' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click on the icon in the left menu of the PC web Drive main screen to open the Trash.
  4. Check the checkboxes of the deleted files or folders.
  5. Click 'Restore' at the top right.

Delete/Restore temporary local or local-only files

'Temporary local' files are indicated with the synchronization status icon: .

Local-only files are indicated with the synchronization status icon: .

If you delete a temporary local or local-only file, it can be restored by checking your local PC Trash and the PC web Drive Trash.

 

Delete

  1. Click on the temporary local file or local-only file to delete in the synced folder.
  2. Click 'Trash'.

Restore

macOS

  1. Open the 'Recycle Bin' of your local PC.
  2. Right-click the deleted file or folder.
  3. Click 'Restore'.

Restored folder/file with a duplicate name

If you move a folder/file with a duplicate name, the original one will be deleted and moved to Trash.

To restore it to the original location, you must change its name.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Open in PC Web' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click on the icon in the left menu of the PC web Drive main screen to open the Trash.
  4. Check the checkboxes of the deleted files and folders.
  5. Click 'Restore' at the top right.
  6. Click 'Restore As'.
