This feature is available after applying for the Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core or Standard Plus plan of WORKS Drive.
By entering metadata into files, you can classify files and find them more quickly.
You can enter values according to the template created by the administrator, as well as check and edit the entered information in the details area.
- You need 'Permission to edit' to enter or edit metadata.
- Deleted metadata cannot be restored.
- You can apply up to 10 templates to one file.
Enter metadata
PC Web
- Click
at the top. - Click 'Drive'.
- Click
to the right of the file. - Click 'Metadata'.
- Select the template to apply from the template search bar.
- Enter values for each item.
- Click 'Confirm'.
You can also enter values in the 'Metadata' tab on the right side of the screen by opening the file in preview.
If you do not fill in the required fields, the 'Confirm' button will not be activated.
Modify metadata
PC Web
- Click
at the top. - Click 'Drive'.
- Click
to the right of the file. - Click 'Metadata'.
- In the 'Metadata' section, click
of the template you want to edit. - After modifying the values, click 'Confirm'.
The item names of templates created by the administrator cannot be edited. Only the entered values can be edited.
Delete metadata
PC Web
- Click
at the top. - Click 'Drive'.
- Click
to the right of the file. - Click 'Metadata'.
- Click
of the template you want to delete. - Click 'Delete'.
- Click 'Confirm' in the guidance dialog window.
Deleted metadata cannot be restored.
Enter Custom Metadata
If the administrator has allowed the use of Custom Metadata, users can directly define item names and values to input metadata.
- Only one Custom Metadata can be used per file.
- Custom Metadata is not searchable and is not included in the automatic application of folder templates.

at the top. - Click 'Drive'.
- Click
to the right of the file. - Click 'Metadata'.
- Select 'Custom Metadata' in the template search bar.
- Enter the item name and value.
- Click 'Confirm'.
You can add up to 50 items.
Check metadata in the Drive app
The Drive app allows you to check entered metadata. To input, edit, or delete metadata, use the PC web interface.
Drive App
- Tap
of the file. - Tap 'Details'.
- Tap the template to check in the 'Metadata' section.
Files without metadata entered will not display the metadata section.
