Download photos, videos, and files

This feature is available after applying for NAVER WORKS Core.

You can download photos, videos, and files sent and received in the message room to your device.

Download a photo

You can download a photo to your device or Drive within the retention period.

Mobile

  1. Tap the photo you want to download from the message room.
  2.  Tap .
    • For the bundled photos, you can select whether to download only the photo you are currently viewing or the entire set.
  3. Select where you want to save the photo. Some options may not appear depending on the plan you are subscribed to.
    • Save on Device
    • Save to Folder/Save to Drive: Save to a folder or drive in the same message room

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from which you want to download a photo.
  4. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the photo.
    • For the bundled photo, the entire set will be downloaded.
  5. Select where you want to save the photo. Some options may not appear depending on the user environment.
    • Save to PC: Save in the computer
    • Save to Folder/Save to Drive: Save to a folder or drive in the same message room
    • Send to Note: Send as a new post or as a reply to an existing post in Note of the message room.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click the message room from which you want to download a photo.
  3. Click 'Save', 'Save to Drive', or 'Save to Folder' at the bottom of the photo.
  4. Click 'Save' to select a location and enter a file name to save the photo. Click 'Save to Drive' or 'Save to Folder' to select a location to save the photo.
    • For the bundled photo, the entire set will be downloaded.

Download a photo after editing

If the 'Mobile app file download' function is allowed in Admin, you can edit photos before downloading them.

Mobile

  1. Tap the photo you want to edit.
  2. Tap 'Edit'.
  3. You can edit the photo using the tools below. Tap 'Apply' after editing.
    Rotate
    Crop
    Draw

    If you want to revert your photo back to the original, tap 'Back to Original'.

  4. Tap to save the photo.

Download a video

Mobile

  1. Tap the video you want to download.
  2. Tap .
  3. Select where you want to save the photo. Some options may not appear depending on the user environment.
    • Save on Device
    • Save to Folder/Save to Drive: Save to a folder or drive in the same message room

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from which you want to download a video.
  4. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the video.
  5. Select where you want to save the photo. Some options may not appear depending on the user environment.
    • Save to PC: Save in the computer.
    • Save to Folder/Save to Drive: Save to a folder or drive in the same message room
    • Send to Note: Send as a new post or as a reply to an existing post in Note of the message room.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click the message room from which you want to download a video.
  3. Click 'Save', 'Save to Drive', or 'Save to Folder' at the bottom of the video.
  4. Click 'Save' to select a location and enter a file name to save the video. Click 'Save to Drive' or 'Save to Folder' to select a location to save the video.

Download a file

You can save a file in your device or Drive within the storage period.

Mobile

Download to Folder/Drive

  1. Long-press the file you want to download from the message room.
  2. Tap 'Folder' or 'Drive' to select a location to save the file.

 

Download a file to iOS device

Files can only be downloaded to devices on iOS 11 and later. Due to the nature of iOS 11 and earlier devices, files cannot be saved to the device.

However, when a file is tapped, the mobile Document Viewer opens depending on the administrator's settings, and downloads may be restricted.

  1. Tap the attachment to download in the message room.
  2. Tap 'Open File'.
  3. Tap at the top right.
  4. Tap 'Save to file' to save.

 

Download a file on Android devices

When you open a file on an Android device, the file is automatically saved on the device.

However, when a file is tapped, the mobile Document Viewer opens depending on the administrator's settings, and downloads may be restricted.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from which you want to download a file.
  4. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the file.
  5. Select where you want to save the photo. Some options may not appear depending on the user environment.
    • Save to PC: Save in the computer.
    • Save to Folder/Save to Drive: Save to a folder or drive in the same message room
    • Send to Note: Send as a new post or as a reply to an existing post in Note of the message room.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click the message room from which you want to download a file.
  3. Click 'Save', 'Save to Drive', or 'Save to Folder' below the file.
  4. Click 'Save' to select a location and enter a file name to save the file. Click 'Save to Drive' or 'Save to Folder' to select a location to save the file.

Storage period for files shared in message rooms

The storage period of photos, videos, and files in the message room depends on the photo/file download period set by the administrator of the company or organization.

The administrator can set the retention period from 7 days to a maximum of 3 years.

Photos, videos, and files past the storage period cannot be previewed, downloaded, or searched in the message room.
