Device status

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive, WORKS Approval, or the Lite, Standard, or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

You can check and download all device information from members who accessed NAVER WORKS mobile app, PC app, Drive app, and Drive Explorer from the last 3 years.

If an app installed on each device is not up to date, you can send an update notification to encourage members to update to the latest version.

Check device list

  1. In the left menu of Admin, select 'Security' to expand the menu, then click 'Device Status' to go to 'Device Status'. On mobile, tap to open the menu.
  2. Click 'NAVER WORKS Mobile App', 'PC' or 'Drive Mobile App'.
    • NAVER WORKS Mobile App: A list of devices connected to the mobile app is displayed.
    • PC: A list of devices connected to the PC app or Drive Explorer is displayed.
    • Drive Mobile App: A list of devices connected to the Drive app is displayed.

The following are the detailed descriptions of each field.

Device
  • The model name of the device is displayed.
  • To view more information of the device, click the information displayed. For devices with NAVER WORKS MDM installed, you can delete the app data.
  • When using the NAVER WORKS MDM, the information on whether the device has the profile installed for mobile device management (MDM) is displayed. If you are using an external MDM, the status of the profile installation cannot be checked on NAVER WORKS, and the device will be displayed as 'Unregistered'.
Vendor ID
  • A unique value generated by the device. It is not displayed on the device. The value changes when the device is reset but does not change even if the NAVER WORKS app is deleted or reinstalled.
  • You can check for devices that use NAVER WORKS MDM and external MDM.
User
  • The name and ID of the member who accessed the mobile app on this device are displayed.
  • Press the user’s information to view the detailed information and access the member management window.
OS
  • The type and version of the device operating system are displayed.
Installed App
  • The version of the NAVER WORKS app accessed most recently from this device is displayed.
  • If the mobile app is not up to date, you can send an update notice through service notification.
Recent Access
  • Displays the date and time when the user most recently accessed the app on this device.
  • This information is updated when the user logs into the mobile app again or reopens it after 24 hours since the last access.

Search for devices with specific conditions

You can check the list of devices that meet the search criteria.

  1. In the left menu of Admin, select 'Security' to expand the menu, then click 'Device Status' to go to 'Device Status'. On mobile, tap to open the menu.
  2. Press at the top right of the device list.
  3. Select or enter the values required for your search criteria.
    • User: You can search for devices connected to a specific member.
    • Device: You can search by device model name.
    • OS: You can view the results only on iOS or Android devices.
    • OS Version: You can search by the version of the device operating system.
    • Installed App: You can search by the type of installed app.
    • App version: You can search for devices with a specific NAVER WORKS app version or older.
    • Last access: You can search for devices with the last access date within 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, or All.
  4. Press 'Search'.

Send update notifications

In the left menu of Admin, select 'Security' to expand the menu, then click 'Device Status' to go to 'Device Status'. On mobile, tap to open the menu.

Send update notification to one member

You can send update notifications to users of specific devices. It is convenient to use the update notification function when a new version of NAVER WORKS is released.

  1. Select a device to send update notifications from the device list. You can use the detailed search to only view devices with an app version older than a specific version.
  2. Press 'Update available'.
  3.  Press 'OK' to send an update notification to members who uses the selected devices. When you send a notification from the 'NAVER WORKS Mobile App' tab, a mobile app update notification will be sent. When you send it from the 'PC' tab, a PC app update notification will be sent.

Send update notifications to multiple members

You can select users of multiple devices to send update notifications.

  1. Select devices to send update notifications from the device list. You can select up to 100.
  2. Press 'Update notification' at the top of the list.
  3.  Press 'OK' to send an update notification to members who uses the selected devices. When you send a notification from the 'NAVER WORKS Mobile App' tab, a mobile app update notification will be sent. When you send it from the 'PC' tab, a PC app update notification will be sent.

Download device lists as a file

Download the search result for the information on devices that accessed NAVER WORKS in a .csv file. If there are more than 5000 search results, the file is delivered via service notification.

  1. In the left menu of Admin, select 'Security' to expand the menu, then click 'Device Status' to go to 'Device Status'. On mobile, tap to open the menu.
  2. After searching with the conditions necessary, press 'Download' on the right to download the search results.
