Allow post editing

This feature is available after applying for NAVER WORKS Core or WORKS Approval.

Multiple members can edit a single post.

You can check the revision history of the post and restore it.

However, multiple members cannot edit the same post simultaneously.

Allow editing

You can set to allow editing when writing a new post or after you have already posted it.

The permission status for editing a post is displayed below the author’s name in the post.

  • 'Allow Editing : ON (Members can edit)' (For member boards, 'Allow Editing: ON (Members with writing permission can edit)')
  • 'Allow Editing : OFF (Only the author and Board Manager can edit)'.

The default setting value of Allow editing is 'Allow Editing : OFF (Only the author and Board Manager can edit)'.

Allow editing when writing new posts

When you write a new post, you can set to allow editing.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Board' at the bottom, then tap .
  2. Select the board to post.
  3. Tap 'Post Settings'.
  4. Enable or disable the ‘Allow editing’ option.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Board'.
  3. In the left menu, click 'Write'.
  4. Select the board to post.
  5. Enable or disable the 'Allow Editing' option.

Editing permissions for a published post

Authors can enable editing on the posts they have published.

Mobile

  1. Open the post and tap .
  2. Tap 'Edit'.
  3. Tap and then 'Post Settings'.
  4. Enable or disable the ‘Allow editing’ option.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Board'.
  3. Click and open the post to allow editing.
  4. Click 'Edit'.
  5. Select or deselect 'Allow Editing' at the bottom of the screen.

Administrators and Board Managers can allow editing of posts published by members for administrative purposes.

Edit posts

Any member can edit posts that are allowed to be edited.

On the member board, only members with writing permission can edit posts that are allowed to be edited.

Administrators and Board Managers can edit any post.

Mobile

  1. Open a post to edit.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap 'Edit' to edit the post.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Board'.
  3. Click and open the post to edit.
  4. Click 'Edit' to edit the post.
  5. Click 'Publish'. To send a post edit notification, select 'Send notification for post edits' and then click 'OK'.

The author information shows who last edited the post and when.

When you open a post not allowed to edit, 'Allow Editing : OFF (Only the author and Board Manager can edit)' is displayed.

Check post revision history

For editable posts, you can see who made the last edit, when it occurred, and if the post has been restored.

Only the latest 30 revisions and restoration histories are available for viewing.

Mobile

After opening the post, tap 'Last update' at the bottom of the author to view your revision history.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Board'.
  3. Click the post.
  4. Click 'Last updated' at the bottom of the author to view your revisions.

Restore posts

You can restore a specific version of a post from your revision history.

Mobile

  1. After you open the post, tap 'Last update' at the bottom of the author.
  2. Tap 'Restore' next to the revision you want to restore to recover the post.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Board'.
  3. Click the post.
  4. Click 'Last updated' at the bottom of the author.
  5. Click 'Restore' next to the revision you want to restore to recover the post.

The restoration history is also recorded in the revision history.
