Settings (macOS)

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive or the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

In Settings, you can view general settings, file notifications, and usage information for Drive Explorer.

General settings

Login settings

You can change the Drive Explorer login-related settings.

Set whether to automatically launch Drive Explorer when the PC starts and allow duplicate logins.

Duplicate logins are allowed on up to 3 devices.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Settings' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click the 'Basic Settings' tab.
  4. In 'Login Setting', set Drive Explorer login-related settings.

Hide icons in the Dock

You can configure the settings so that the Drive Explorer icon does not appear in the Dock.

If you set it to 'Hidden' at this point, the Drive Explorer icon will not appear in the Dock, but it will remain visible on the taskbar.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Settings' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click the 'Basic Settings' tab.
  4. In 'Remove Icon from Dock', set Drive Explorer icon display-related settings.

File management

Files are changed to online-only status when it hasn't been opened for this period.

You can set the period for automatic switching to Online only when files in local-only or temporary local-only status have not been opened.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Settings' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click the 'Basic Settings' tab.
  4. Click the 'Files are changed to online-only status when it hasn't been opened for this period.' item under 'File Management' and set the period for automatic switching.

Manage files downloaded to your PC directly

You can view how many downloaded (local-only) files are in My Drive, Public Drive, and Message Room Folders respectively, and switch the status to Online only.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Settings' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click the 'Basic Settings' tab.
  4. Click 'Manage Downloads' of 'Manage files downloaded to PC' under 'File Management' to see how many files are currently downloaded in each folder and what they are. Then, make your selection and click 'Set as Online Only' to change the status.

Language

You can set the language used by the Drive Explorer service.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Settings' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click the 'Basic Settings' tab.
  4. Select the language to use in 'Language'.

File notifications

You can set whether to be notified when a file is uploaded or locked in a folder shared with other members.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Settings' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click the 'File Notifications' tab.
  4. Change the file notification settings in 'File Notifications'.

Information

You can view information about Drive Explorer usage.

You can view information about the PC on which Drive Explorer is installed, as well as the account details and version information for Drive Explorer.

  1. Click the tray icon.
  2. When the tray window appears, click 'Settings' in the bottom menu.
  3. Click the 'Information' tab.
  4. View usage information in the 'Information' tab.
