Install Drive Explorer

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive or the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

Install Drive Explorer to use NAVER WORKS Drive as a folder on your PC.

Installation

Install Drive Explorer.

You will need PC administrator authority to install Drive Explorer.

Errors may occur if the storage on your PC is damaged. Also, it may not be compatible with some antivirus solutions.

Windows

  1. Go to the download page .
  2. For Drive Explorer for Windows, click 'Download' for 64bit.
  3. Open the saved file to install Drive Explorer.

4. Click 'Finish'.
After installation, when you re-run the program, a login screen will appear.

OS version update

Check your OS version and update your OS version to use the latest features.

The latest Drive Explorer update is only available for 64-bit Windows Explorer.

Windows OS supported versions are Windows 10 22H2 and later, Windows 11 22H2 and later.

Even if you update your OS version, your existing sync settings will be maintained.

Windows

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and click the gear-shaped 'Settings' icon at the bottom left.
  2. Click 'Update & Security', and then click 'Windows Update'.
  3. Check for available versions of Windows and update them.

How to check your OS version

Windows

  1. Open the Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key on your keyboard simultaneously.
  2. Check your Windows version by typing 'winver' in the Open box and clicking 'OK'.

Drive Explorer version update

Update your version of Drive Explorer.

It is recommended to uninstall the previous version of Drive Explorer after the new update.

When uninstalled, the data that was synced up to that point will remain in the sync folder on your PC.

Windows

  1. Run Drive Explorer.
  2. Check for Explorer update notifications.
  3. Click 'Update'.

Notes on updating the new Drive Explorer

When you update Drive Explorer, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to delete the existing version.

  • When you click 'Confirm', a new Drive Explorer will be installed, and the existing Drive Explorer will be removed after you log out.
    • Any existing sync folders on your PC will remain, but syncing will no longer occur.
  • If you click 'Cancel', a new Drive Explorer will be installed while keeping the existing Drive Explorer.
    • On PC, you'll see both the old version and the newly updated Drive Explorer. However, you cannot log in to both versions at the same time, so you must log out and exit one version before running the other.
