What is Drive Explorer?

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive or the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

Drive Explorer

NAVER WORKS Drive Explorer lets you access and use NAVER WORKS Drive in the cloud just like a folder on your PC.

You can instantly view and edit changes made by others in a shared folder on your PC. Files edited on your PC are also synced to Drive automatically, improving work efficiency.

What can you do with Drive Explorer?

# Sync folders and files

You can sync and use items from Shared Drive, message room folders, My Drive, and shared folders.

# File notification settings

Enabling notifications in settings lets you receive real-time updates on changes to shared Drive files with collaborators.

You can send files directly via email from Drive Explorer.

You can share folders or files via a link.

# Lock files

Locking a file prevents other members from editing it while you work, ensuring its contents are securely preserved.

Which sync methods are available for Explorer?

Windows Drive Explorer offers 2 sync methods: virtual drive mode and 1:1 folder sync mode.

Virtual Drive 1:1 Folder Sync
  • A virtual drive is automatically created, and all folder data from NAVER WORKS Drive is stored in the virtual drive.
Without additional settings, all folders from NAVER WORKS Drive will be displayed in the virtual drive.
  • In the virtual drive, files are stored as online-only.
  • A virtual drive called 'NAVER WORKS Drive (W:)' will be created on your PC.
If a drive with the (W:) extension already exists, it may be displayed with a different extension.
  • You can sync 1 folder from your PC with 1 folder from NAVER WORKS Drive.
  • Files in the folders with sync settings can be accessed offline.
  • You can set up 1:1 folder sync even if the folder in NAVER WORKS Drive is already synced to a virtual drive.
