Create, rename, copy, move, delete folders

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive or the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

You can create, rename, copy, move, and delete folders and files.

Create a new folder

Mobile

  1. Tap  in Drive.
  2. Tap 'Create new folder'.
  3. Enter a folder name, and tap 'Confirm' to create a new folder.

You cannot create new folders in 'Quick Access', 'Recent', 'Important ', 'Link', 'Shared Folders' or 'Shared by me'.

PC Web

  1. Click on the top.
  2. Click 'Drive'.
  3. Click 'New folder' on the top in Drive.
  4. Enter a folder name.

You cannot create new folders in 'Quick Access', 'Recent', 'Important', and 'Link'.

Drive App

  1. Tap in Drive.
  2. Tap 'Create > Folder'.
  3. Enter a folder name and tap 'Create' to make a new folder.

You cannot create new folders in 'Quick Access', 'Recent', 'Important', and 'Link'.

Rename a file/folder

Mobile

  1. Tap  of the file or folder you want to rename.
  2. Tap 'Rename'.
  3. Enter the new file or folder name.

PC Web

  1. Click on the top.
  2. Click 'Drive'.
  3. Click  next to the file or folder.
  4. Click 'Rename'.
  5. Enter the new file or folder name.

Drive App

  1. Tap  of the file or folder you want to rename.
  2. Tap 'Rename'.
  3. Enter the new file or folder name.

Copy a file/folder

You can copy files and folders to other folders.

On PC, use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V shortcuts for quick copy and paste.

Mobile

  1. Tap  of the file or folder you want to copy.
  2. Tap 'Copy'.
  3. Select where to copy the folder or file from All or Starred.
  4. Tap 'Copy' on the top right to copy the file or folder.

PC Web

  1. Click on the top.
  2. Click 'Drive'.
  3. Click  next to the file or folder.
  4. Click 'Copy'.
  5. Navigate to the location where you want to copy in Select Location.
  6. Click ‘Copy’.

Move a file/folder

You can move files and folders to other folders.

However, the top-level folder must be in the same location to move files and folders.

On PC, use Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V shortcuts for quick move.

Mobile

  1. Tap  of the file or folder you want to move.
  2. Tap 'Move to'.
  3. Select where to move the folder or file from All or Starred.
  4. Tap 'Move to' on the top right to move the file or folder.

PC Web

  1. Click on the top.
  2. Click 'Drive'.
  3. Click  next to the file or folder.
  4. Click 'Move'.
  5. Navigate to the location where you want to copy in Select Location.
  6. Click ‘Move’.

Drive App

  1. Click  next to the file or folder.
  2. Tap ‘Move’.
  3. Navigate to the location where you want to copy in Select Location.
  4. Tap ‘Move’.

Delete a file/folder

Mobile

  1. Tap  of the file or folder you want to delete.
  2. Tap 'Delete' to delete the file or folder.

PC Web

  1. Click on the top.
  2. Click 'Drive'.
  3. Click  next to the file or folder.
  4. Click 'Delete' to delete the file or folder.

Drive App

  1. Tap  next to the file or folder.
  2. Tap 'Delete’.

All deleted files and folders are stored in Trash of the relevant folder.

The following are the storage location for deleted files and folders:

  • Files and folders deleted from Collaborative Folders: Trash of the each Collaborative Folder
  • Files and folders deleted from Message Room Folders: Trash of the Message Room Folders
  • Files and folders deleted from My Drive: Trash of My Drive
  • Files and folders deleted from Shared Folders: Trash in My Drive of the users who shared the folders

To delete files and folders shared by others, you need the 'permission to Edit'. All deleted files and folders can be permanently deleted in or restored from Trash.

Manage multiple files

You can copy, move, or delete multiple files and folders at once.

Mobile

  1. Tap and hold a file or folder to select multiple to copy, move, or delete them.
  2. Tap 'Select All' on the top right to select all files and folders in the list.

PC Web

  1. Click on the top to select all files, or click on the left of each file or folder to select multiple.
  2. From the top of the screen, you can perform bulk actions including copying, moving, or deleting selected files or folders.

Drive App

  1. Tap and hold a folder or file, or click on the top.
  2. From the selection screen, you can select multiple folders and files to copy, move, or delete.
