Files and folders deleted from Drive are moved to a Trash specific to their original location.
In Trash, you can view, restore, or permanently delete files and folders that you deleted.
Check files you deleted
You can view the files or folders you've deleted from your drive in one place.
However, files deleted from folders shared by others will not be displayed.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click 'Trash' at the bottom of the left menu in the Drive.
- Check deleted files in the 'Deleted by Me' tab.
Drive App
- Tap 'More' in Drive
- Tap 'Trash'.
- Check deleted files in the 'Deleted by Me' tab.
Check all deleted files
You can view files or folders that you and all members have deleted from Collaborative Drive and My Drive.
However, files deleted from shared folders will only appear in the Trash of the My Drive for the user who shared the folder.
Mobile
- Tap in Drive.
- Tap  at the bottom to open Trash.
- Tap the folder you want to access and open its Trash.
- Check the deleted files.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click 'Trash' at the bottom of the left menu in the Drive.
- Click the 'All Files' tab.
- Click the folder filter at the top left.
- Select the folder where the deleted file was located.
- Check the deleted files.

- Tap 'More' in Drive
- Tap 'Trash'.
- Tap the 'All' tab.
- Tap the top filter.
- Select the folder where the deleted file was located.
- Check the deleted files.
Restore deleted files and folders
You can restore deleted files or folders that are in Trash. Files and folders you restore will return to their original location.
Mobile
- Tap in Drive.
- Tap  at the bottom to open Trash.
- Tap the folder you want to access and open its Trash.
- Tap of the file or folder to restore.
- Tap 'Restore' to restore the file and folder.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click 'Trash' at the bottom of the left menu in the Drive.
- Check the checkboxes of the deleted files and folders.
- Click 'Restore' at the top.
Drive App
- Tap 'More' in Drive
- Tap 'Trash'.
- Tap of the file or folder to restore.
- Tap 'Restore'.
Permanently delete files and folders
You can permanently delete files and folders stored in Trash.
When you delete a file from the Trash in the Message Room Folder or Collaborative Drive, the used shared storage will decrease by the file size.
You cannot restore permanently deleted files and folders.
Mobile
- Tap in Drive.
- Tap at the bottom to open Trash.
- Tap the folder you want to access and open its Trash.
- Tap of the file or folder to restore.
- Tap 'Permanently Delete' to permanently delete the file or folder.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click 'Trash' at the bottom of the left menu in the Drive.
- Check the checkboxes of the deleted files and folders to delete permanently.
- Click 'Delete Permanently' at the top.
- Click 'OK'.
Drive App
- Tap 'More' in Drive
- Tap 'Trash'.
- Tap of the file or folder to delete permanently.
- Tap 'Delete Permanently'.
Empty trash
You can permanently delete all files and folders from Trash at once.
Only the Folder Master can empty the Trash of Shared Drives and Message Room Folders.
When you delete a file from the Trash in the Message Room Folder or Collaborative Folder, the used shared storage will decrease by the file size.
You cannot restore permanently deleted files and folders.

- Tap at the bottom to open Trash.
- Tap the folder you want to access and open its Trash.
- Tap to permanently delete the entire item in the trash.

- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click 'Trash' at the bottom of the left menu in the Drive.
- Click the 'All Files' tab.
- Click the folder filter at the top left.
- Select the folder where the deleted file was located.
- Click 'Empty Trash' at the top.
- Click 'OK'.

- Tap 'More' in Drive
- Tap 'Trash'.
- Tap the 'All' tab.
- Tap on the folder filter at the top left.
- Select the folder you want to check for deleted files.
- Tap to permanently delete all items.
Review deleted folder and restore or permanently delete items
If you are a Folder Master or user who deleted a collaborative folder or message room folder, you can view the contents of the deleted folder on PC web.
You can restore or permanently delete folders that are not distinguishable by name after checking the internal file list.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click 'Trash' at the bottom of the left menu in Drive.
- Double-click a folder.
- Click 'Delete All' or 'Restore All'.
Trash retention period
When files and folders are deleted from Drive, they are stored in each respective folder in Trash until permanently deleted after the period set by the administrator.
You can change the setting in the 'Trash Retention'.
