Send a file via message

You can message files in your drive.

Send files as messages

Mobile

  1. Tap next to the file you want to send in Drive.
  2. Tap 'Send'.
  3. Tap 'Send as File'.
  4. Select a destination to send the file to. To select another message room, tap 'More'.
    To select a contact, tap 'Contacts'.
  5. Tap 'Confirm' to send the file.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Drive'.
  3. Hover your mouse over the file you want to message.
  4. Right-click or click .
  5. Click 'Send via Message'.
  6. Select the contact or message room to send the file and click 'Forward'.

Send multiple files via message

Mobile

  1. Long-press the file you want to send.
  2. Select the file to send.
  3. Tap at the bottom left.
  4. Tap 'Send as File'.
  5. Select a destination to send the file to. To select another message room, tap 'More'.
    To select a contact, tap 'Contacts'.
  6. Tap 'Confirm' to send the file.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Drive'.
  3. Select files to send via message.
  4. Right-click or click .
  5. Click 'Send via Message'.
  6. Select the contact or message room to send the file and click 'Forward'.
