The Folder Master has permission to edit all individual folders.Permissions to edit can be set for each member who has access to individual folders.
The permission to access for members can only be set for collaborative and team/group folders, not for general message room folders.
Members will see a folder icon as shown below, based on the permissions granted to each folder.
- : Folders without permission to access
- : Folders with permission to edit
- : Folders with permission to read
Reading and editing are all restricted for the folders you do not have permission to access.
Set access permissions for members
You can select which members can access a folder and specify their permissions.
In folders where the permission to access settings for members are set, the 'Send Location to this Message Room' function is unavailable, and 'FIle Upload Notification' will not be sent.
Member access settings cannot be applied to folders belonging to external groups.
Mobile
- Tap right to the folder to set access permissions for members.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Enable 'Accessible only to some members'.
- Add members to share. You can only add members who have access to the folder.
- Tap 'Confirm'.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click the folder for which you want to change the access permissions.
- Click 'Accessible Members'.
- Under 'Share with', select 'Selected members
'. - Add members to share. You can only add members who have access to the folder.
- Click 'Confirm'.
Drive App
- Tap next to the folder to set access permissions for members.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Under 'Share with', select 'Accessible by Specific Members'.
- Add members to share. You can only add members who have access to the folder.
- Tap 'Confirm'.
Set permission to read or edit for each member
When a member is added, the member is permitted to 'Permission to edit' by default.
If you need to change the permission to read only, you can do so in 'Accessible Members'.
Members who are permitted to read can download, copy, or send the folder, but have no permission to edit it.
Mobile
- Tap right to the folder to change the permission to edit.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Tap right of the member whose permissions you want to edit.
- Tap 'Edit

PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click the folder for which you want to change the permission settings.
- Click 'Accessible Members'.
- Click the permissions list to the right of the member whose edit permissions you want to change.
- Click 'Confirm'.
Drive App
- Tap next to the folder that you want to change the permission settings.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Tap right to the member.
- Tap right of the member whose permissions you want to edit.
- Tap 'Edit' or 'View'.
- Tap 'Confirm'.
Remove from shared members (restrict access to folder)
If a member no longer needs access to the folder, you can restrict their access.
Removed members will not see the folder in the folder list or will see it as a folder without access (), unable to access its files.
Mobile
- Tap right to the folder with the members' list you want to change.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Tap right of the member to restrict access to the folder.
- Tap 'Remove Member'.
- Tap 'Confirm'.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click the folder to edit the members' list.
- Click Accessible Members.
- Click right of the member to restrict access to the folder.
- Click 'Confirm'.
Drive App
- Tap next to the folder to make changes.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Tap right to the member.
- Tap right of the member to restrict access to the folder.
- Tap 'Remove Member'.
- Click 'Confirm'.
Remove access permissions for members
You can remove the access settings for specific members, making the folder accessible to all members.
Mobile
- Tap right of the folder to remove member access settings.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Disable 'Accessible only to some members'.
- Tap 'Confirm'.
PC Web
- Click at the top.
- Click 'Drive'.
- Click the folder you want to remove accessible member settings.
- Click 'Accessible Members'.
- Under 'Share with', select 'All members'.
- Click 'Confirm'.
Drive App
- Tap next to the folder that you want to remove accessible member settings.
- Tap 'Accessible Members'.
- Disable 'Accessible only to some members'.
- Tap 'Confirm'.
