Write/Reply to emails

Configure settings for composing and replying to emails.

Default editor/font for composing

You can select the editor type to display on the compose email screen, default font, and font size.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Select a type in 'Default editor'.
  6. Select a font type and font size.

Sender name

You can select the name to display as the sender to the email recipients.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Click 'Sender's name' to add a name or select a different name.

Set a default sender email address

You can select the email address that appears as the sender’s email by default when sending emails.
You can use this feature if you are permitted to send emails using your secondary domain or the mailing list of a group or team.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. In 'Sender's address', select the default email address.

Email address to be shown when sending a reply

Set to reply individually or to all other than your own email address such as a secondary domain email address, group, or team's mailing list.
However, you must have the permission to send an email using the given email address.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. In 'Email address to use when replying' of the 'Sender's address', change the settings on the reply-to address for composing/replying.
    • Reply with default address: Your default email address is set as a sender when replying individually or to all.
    • Reply with received address: The recipient's email address is set as a sender when replying individually or to all.

Delay email delivery

This function delays the sending of emails for 10 seconds to 1 minute after pressing the send button. By using this function, you can prevent mistakes by canceling or editing an email during the delay period before sending the email.
Using this function saves sent emails regardless of the settings to allow you to edit and resend emails after cancellation.

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Enable 'Use delay sending'.
  6. Set the delay time.

When the function is in use, a message that says 'Delay delivery' will be displayed with the following choices: 'Cancel' and 'View mail'.

Always send emails individually

When sending an email to multiple recipients, you can set whether to make it appear as an individual email by default. You can also change this setting in the Compose Mail page.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Enable 'Always send individually'.

Preview before sending

You can review your email contents before sending them.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Enable 'Preview before sending' and then make changes to settings.
    • All: Always display the preview screen when sending an email.
    • Specific email: Display the preview screen only when sending emails of specific types. You can select multiple options among Restricted, Confidential, and Important mail.

Always include yourself in Cc

You can set whether to always include your email address in Cc or Bcc.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Enable 'Always include myself in Cc'.

Select an email address to receive replies

You can select an email address different from the one that shows on the recipient's Compose Mail page when replying.
This function applies to emails sent after you change the setting.

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Of 'Reply Address', select 'Direct replies to a specific email address' and then enter the email address to receive replies. The default setting is 'Direct replies to sender’s email’.

Disable reply-to email address

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Select 'Direct replies to sender’s email’ in the 'Reply Address' field.

Collapse original on reply

When you compose a reply message, you can set whether to display the original content as collapsed.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Enable 'Hide Original Email When Replying'.

Quick response settings

You can change the settings to enable quick response when reading an email.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Turn on 'Use Quick Reply'.

Add a quick response

You can enter phrases or sentences to display as a quick response.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mall.
  4. Click 'Preferences > Compose/Reply'.
  5. Click 'Add Reply'.
  6. Enter your reply in 'Quick Reply'.
  7. Click 'Save' to create a quick reply.
