You can enable or disable notifications for messages. You can customize the notification setting for all messages or individual message rooms.

Device notifications

On iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphones, you first need to enable notifications in your device settings.

If you disable notifications for NAVER WORKS, you will not receive any notifications, even if you enable them in the app. Please refer to Device notification settings.

For the PC web, you must enable browser notifications for each browser to receive notifications on the web. For more information, refer to Browser notification settings > Show notifications on each browser.

Notification settings

You can enable or disable message notifications and choose the notification method for new messages.

Mobile

Tap 'Home' at the bottom.
Tap .
Tap 'Notification Settings' in Settings.
Enable or disable 'Allow Notifications'.
Tap 'Message Notification'.
Enable or disable 'Message Notification' to allow or block notifications.
If you enable 'Preview Contents', you can preview a part of the message content in the notification window.

If you disable all message notifications, you will not receive notifications even if they are enabled for individual message rooms.

App notifications require that notifications for the NAVER WORKS app are enabled on your device.

PC Web

Click at the top right.
Click 'Notification'.
You can enable or disable 'PC Web Pop-up Notification' for all NAVER WORKS services in 'PC Web Pop-up Notification'.

You can only enable or disable 'PC Web Pop-up Notification' in 'Notifications by Service'.

PC App

Click at the bottom left.
Click 'Settings'.
Click the 'Notifications' tab.
You can change settings for popup notification and notification sound under 'Notification Method'.
- Pop-up notification: A pop-up appears when you receive a new message. You can choose to display the message, the sender, or both in the popup.
- Notification sound: There will be a sound effect for every new message.

Notification settings across mobile, PC web, and PC app

You can disable mobile app message notifications while using PC web.

Also, you can configure settings to avoid receiving notifications for the same message on both the PC app and PC web simultaneously.

PC Web

Click at the top right.
Click 'Notification'.
From 'Notifications by Service', click right to 'Message'.
Check or uncheck the checkboxes of 'Turn off PC app message notifications when active on PC web' and 'Turn off mobile app message notifications when active on PC web'. Once checked, you will not be receiving any notification on your PC or mobile while using the PC web.

PC App

Click at the bottom left.
Click 'Settings'.
Click the 'Notifications' tab.
Check or uncheck the checkbox under 'Mobile App Notifications'. Once checked, notifications for messages received on the PC app will not be received on mobile. Notifications will resume after 3 minutes of inactivity on the PC app.
