Mobile Device Management

When you lose or no longer use the device, you can uninstall the NAVER WORKS app by force or delete all information stored on the device with the remote device management function.

Administrators can protect company information by removing work-related data from devices when members lose their devices or leave the company.

To use the function, the administrator must set NAVER WORKS MDM to in use, and the Mobile Device Management must also be enabled on the member's device.

Enable remote device management

If the administrator has set NAVER WORKS MDM to 'Optional'

Members can enable remote device management of the device they are currently using.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Home' on the bottom.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap 'Mobile device management'.
  4. Enable remote device management.
    • Android: Tap 'Register device' and tap 'Open'.
    • iOS: Tap 'Go to install profile' and install profile.

Even if you go back to the previous screen, you can continue using NAVER WORKS.

If the administrator has set NAVER WORKS MDM to 'Required'

MDM Profile must be installed to use the NAVER WORKS mobile app.

Mobile

If you did not install the Profile, the 'Mobile device management' screen will appear after logging in.

Tap 'Go to install profile' to install Profile.

If you go back to the previous screen without installing Profile, you will be logged out from your device and will not be able to use NAVER WORKS.

Manage devices remotely

You can remotely delete data from the NAVER WORKS mobile app or initialize a device that has remote device management enabled or initialize the device.

However, once data is deleted or the device is reset, you cannot undo the changes made.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Home' on the bottom.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap 'Device'.
  4. Select the device to remotely manage from the 'Devices accessed over the last 3 years' list.
  5. Delete or reset the device's mobile app data in 'Remote device control'.
    • Delete app data: Initialize the NAVER WORKS app and delete the downloaded file. If you are using multiple accounts on the device, it only applies to the account you are currently logged in to.
    • Reset device: Reset the device to factory defaults. All apps and downloaded files installed on the device, including the NAVER WORKS app, will be deleted.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile picture on the top right.
  2. Select 'Device' from the menu.
  3. Select the device to remotely manage from the 'Devices accessed over the last 3 years' list.
  4. Delete or reset the mobile app data on the device.
    • Delete app data: Initialize the NAVER WORKS app and delete the downloaded file. If you are using multiple accounts on the device, it only applies to the account you are currently logged in to.
    • Reset device: Reset the device to factory defaults. All apps and downloaded files installed on the device, including the NAVER WORKS app, will be deleted.

Disable remote device management

Members can disable remote device management of the device they are currently using.

If a member disables remote device management, the administrator cannot force app and device reset.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Home' on the bottom.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap 'Disable Mobile device management'.
  4. Read the instructions in the dialogue box and tap 'Disable Mobile device management' to disable remote device management.
