Set up a proxy server
To use NAVER WORKS Drive Explorer in a network environment with Internet access via a proxy server, each user needs to configure their proxy server settings.
You can set up proxy server information even if you are not logged in or do not have access to the Internet.
Setup is only available on Windows.
Windows
- Right-click the NAVER WORKS Drive Explorer icon located in the taskbar.
- Click 'Settings'.
- Click the 'Connect' tab.
- Select 'Proxy server settings'.
- Enter the proxy server information. All fields are required; the connection will fail if any information is missing.
- Type: Select 'HTTP/HTTPS' or 'SOCKS' according to your network environment.
- Server: Enter the IP address of the proxy server.
- Port: Enter the port number to connect to the proxy server.
- User: Enter the authentication ID of the proxy server.
- Password: Enter the authentication password for the proxy server.
- Click 'Apply'. Once the proxy server connection is complete, Drive Explorer will restart.
Proxy server settings may fail if any information is missing or if there is an error in the input.
Items that fail will be highlighted in red. Make the necessary corrections and click Apply for the changes to take effect.
If you cannot connect to the NAVER WORKS server, you will also be unable to connect to the proxy server.
Disable proxy server settings
Windows
- Right-click the NAVER WORKS Drive  icon located in the task bar.
- Click 'Settings'.
- Click the 'Connect' tab.
- Deselect 'Proxy server settings'.
- Click 'Apply'.
