Mobile security

This feature is not available for the Free plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

Set company-wide policies to ensure the safe use of the NAVER WORKS mobile app.

  1. In the left menu of Admin, select 'Security' to expand the menu, then click 'Mobile Security' to go to 'Mobile Security'. On mobile, tap to open the menu.
  2. You can change the settings by pressing right to each field.
  3. Press 'Save' at the top to apply changes.

Lock screen

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive, WORKS Approval, or the Lite, Standard, or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

Set to lock screen when members launch the NAVER WORKS mobile app.

Advanced settings Option
Require screen lock If the administrator sets the function to 'Required', the screen lock function is applied to all members. If set to 'Select', members can decide whether to set the screen lock or not.

If you change the setting to 'Required', members must register the PIN when they launch the mobile app next time.

  • Required - All members must set the screen lock
  • Optional - Members can decide whether to set Screen lock
PIN format Administrators can make members set the PIN in the format that the administrator selected.

If the PIN format is changed, you will need to register a new PIN when you launch the mobile app next time.

  • 4-Digit number
  • 6~10 alphanumeric
  • 8~10 alphanumeric
Unlock attempts You can specify the maximum number of attempts allowed before logging out when an incorrect PIN is entered. After changing the settings, they take effect the next time you unlock.

  • Log out of the mobile app after 3 to 10 failures

Feature limitations

Login duration

After a member logs in to the mobile app, you can set whether to automatically log out if they don't use the mobile app for a while.

After changing the settings, they take effect the next time the member logs in to the mobile app.

Data storage period

This feature is available after applying for the Lite, Standard, or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

Set how long the members are allowed to store and view data in the mobile app.

Option  Description
Do not restrict You can view data for the entire period.
View data from only within the last 3/7/30 days
  • Message: Only the conversation history within the set period can be viewed. The message search results only include conversations within the set period.
  • Note: Only posts within the set period can be viewed and left in Note.
  • Board: Only posts within the set period can be viewed and left in Board.
  • Calendar: Only personal/member events and tasks within the set period can be viewed in Calendar.
  • Downloaded files: Only files downloaded within the set period remain on the member's device.

Limit image/text copy

This feature is available after applying for the Lite, Standard, or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

You can change settings to restrict members from copying the images/texts to the clipboard on the mobile app.

Advanced settings Option
Do not restrict You can copy image/text to the clipboard from the mobile app.
Restrict You cannot copy image/text to the clipboard on the mobile app.

However, copying images and text is not restricted in areas where direct input is performed within the mobile app, such as writing emails and posts, and in the viewer and Drive document viewer/editor provided by the OS by default.

For the function that restricts file uploads in the mobile app, refer to 'Security > File Security'.

Mobile screenshot restriction

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive, WORKS Approval, or the Lite, Standard, or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

To prevent internal security information from being leaked to mobile devices, NAVER WORKS app screen capture on mobile is restricted.

The mobile app screen capture restrictions only apply when the NAVER WORKS app is running.

iOS: Save audit log when capturing screen, Android: Block screenshot
  • iOS: You can capture the mobile app screen, but a warning will prompt the user to delete it. At the same time, detailed capture logs (user, device, and original image) will be saved in 'Audit > Mobile Screenshots'.
  • Android: When attempting o capture the mobile app screen, a warning will be displayed, and the capture will be blocked. No record will be saved. When capturing with an external app, the capture screen is saved as a blank black screen.
iOS, Android: Save audit log when capturing screen
  • Applies to both iOS & Android: You can capture the mobile app screen, but a warning will prompt the user to delete it. At the same time, detailed capture logs (user, device, and original image) will be saved in 'Audit > Mobile Screenshots'.
    • For Android, image capture detection is available on Android 14.0 and later. Earlier versions than 14.0 are not supported.
    • On Android, video capture detection is only available in the Drive app starting with Andriod 15.0 and later. It is not supported in the LINE WORKS mobile app.
