Spam settings

This feature is available after applying for the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

You can report received emails as spam or set spam filtering.

Manage a blocked sender list to move emails from specific email addresses or domains to Spam.

Also, you can add specific email addresses or domains to your safe senders list to prevent them from being filtered as spam.

Spam settings

Set the types of emails to classify as spam and how to handle emails reported as spam.

Spam auto filter settings

You can set to filter specific emails as spam.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mail.
  4. Click 'Advanced' and then 'Spam'.
  5. Select the setting from 'Automatically filter spam'.
    • Automatically classified as spam if my email address is not included as recipient or Cc (Bcc): Filter emails that do not contain your email address as recipient to 'Spam'.
      However, emails received through the mailing list of the group you belong to may also be filtered as spam. You can prevent such spam filtering by adding the group to the safe senders list.
    • Automatically classified as spam if the sender’s address is not in Contacts: Filter emails with the sender not listed in Contacts to 'Spam'.
    • -: Filter emails written in specific languages to 'Spam'. You can filter all emails written in other languages as spam or choose specific languages among English, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.
    • Filter return emails for unsent emails as spam: Filter emails failed to send, but were not attempted by you, to 'Spam'.
    • Automatically move spam: Filter spam-suspicious emails received in the Inbox to 'Spam'.
  6. Click 'Save' at the bottom.

You can also click 'Cancel spam' under 'Spam' to undo the spam filtering.

Reported spam emails processing settings

Set how to handle emails reported as spam.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mail.
  4. Click 'Advanced' and then 'Spam'.
  5. Change the settings in 'Spam Email Settings'.
    • Processing Method: Set to move emails reported as spam to 'Spam' or delete permanently.
      Permanently deleted emails cannot be restored.
    • Block email reported as spam: Add senders of emails reported as spam to the block list.
    • Mark emails from the same sender as spam: Report all emails from the same sender as spam.
      If you report an email with an impersonated sender address, even an email without issues may be reported as spam.
  6. Click 'Save' at the bottom.

Allow to receive emails

Allow to receive emails sent from a specific email address or domain.

Emails from addresses you have allowed to receive will be excluded from spam settings and are filtered in My Mailbox.

Add email addresses and domains to allow

You can allow emails sent from specific email addresses or domains.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mail.
  4. Click 'Advanced' and then 'Allow'.
  5. Enter and add the mailing list, domain, or group to allow emails from.

Remove from safe senders list

You can delete email addresses from the safe senders list.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mail.
  4. Click 'Advanced' and then 'Allow'.
  5. Select the email address you want to delete from the safe senders list.
  6. Click 'Delete'.

Block emails

You can block emails sent from a specific email address or domain. Also, you can directly block the sender of a specific email from the email list.

Add email address or domain to block

You can block emails sent from specific email addresses or domains.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mail.
  4. Click 'Advanced'.
  5. Click 'Spam' and then 'Block'.
  6. Enter the email addresses you want to block.
  7. Click 'Add'.

Search in the block list

You can search for blocked email addresses or domains.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mail.
  4. Click 'Advanced'.
  5. Click 'Spam' and then 'Block'.
  6. Click at the top right of the list.
  7. Enter the filter conditions or actions in the search box and press Enter on the keyboard.

Delete an email address from the block list

You can delete email addresses from the block list.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click at the top right in Mail.
  4. Click 'Advanced'.
  5. Click 'Spam' and then 'Block'.
  6. Select the email address you want to delete from the list.
  7. Click 'Delete'.
