Allow editing

This feature is available after applying for NAVER WORKS Core.

Multiple members can edit a Note post.

They can also view the revision history of the post and restore previous versions.

However, members cannot edit the post simultaneously.

Editing permission settings

You can change the settings on editing permission for both new and existing posts.

The permission status for editing a post is displayed below the author’s name in the post. 'Allow editing : ON' or 'Allow editing : OFF' is displayed.

The default setting value of allow editing is 'Allow editing : ON'.

Change editing permissions when writing a new post

You can change editing permissions when writing a new post.

Mobile

  1. Tap in the composing screen.
  2. Tap 'Post Settings'.
  3. Enable or disable 'Allow editing'.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from the list.
  4. Click 'Write' at the right.
  5. Enable or disable 'Enable editing'.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click the message room from the list.
  3. Click at the top right of the message room.
  4. Go to the PC web interface and click 'Write' at the right.
  5. Enable or disable 'Enable editing'.

Change editing permissions of an existing post

The person who wrote the post can change editing permissions.

Mobile

  1. Open a post, and tap .
  2. Tap 'Edit'.
  3. Tap and then 'Post Settings'.
  4. Enable or disable 'Allow editing'.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from the list.
  4. In the 'Note' tab at the right, click the post to change the co-editing setting from the list.
  5. Click at the top right of the post.
  6. Click 'Edit'.
  7. Check or uncheck 'Enable editing' at the top.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click the message room from the list.
  3. Click at the top right.
  4. Go to the PC web screen and click the 'Note' tab at the right. Click the post to change the co-editing setting from the list.
  5. Click at the top right of the post.
  6. Click 'Edit'.
  7. Check or uncheck 'Enable editing' at the top.

For management purposes, the team leader and the Group Master can change editing permissions for posts written by other members.

Edit a post

Any member can edit posts in which the editing permission is enabled.

The team leader and Group Master can edit all posts.

Mobile

  1. Open the post to edit.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap 'Edit' to edit the post.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from the list.
  4. In the 'Note' tab at the right, click the post to edit from the list.
  5. Click at the top right of the post.
  6. Click 'Edit'.
  7. After editing the content, click 'Save' to save changes.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click the message room from the list.
  3. Click at the top right.
  4. Go to the PC web screen and click the 'Note' tab at the right. Click the post to edit from the list.
  5. Click at the top right of the post.
  6. Click 'Edit'.
  7. After editing the content, click 'Save' to save changes.

The last person who edited the post and the time edited will be displayed for the edited posts.

When you open posts restricted from editing, the author and the 'Allow editing: OFF' under the author name are displayed.

View post revision history

For posts in which you are allowed to edit, you can check the member who edited the post, the editing time, and whether it was restored.

Editing and restoration history can be viewed only for the last 30 cases.

Mobile

Open a post and tap 'Last update' below the author to check the revision history.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from the list.
  4. In the 'Note' tab at the right, click the edited post from the list.
  5. Click 'Last update' below the author to check the revision history.

Restore a post

You can restore posts to a specific version.

Mobile

  1. Open a post and tap 'Last update' below the author.
  2. Tap 'Restore' next to the revision you want to restore to recover the post.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click the message room from the list.
  4. In the 'Note' tab at the right, click the edited post from the list.
  5. Click 'Last update' below the author to check the revision history.
  6. Click 'Restore' to restore the post to the selected version.

Restoration records will also be saved in the revision history.
