You can easily share files and folders within Drive as links.
Link sharing is effective for sharing large files as it does not use additional shared storage.
Enhance security by configuring the link sharing range, expiration date, edit/read permissions, and the option to provide a download button.
Folders and files shared via link are marked with next to their names.
However, the administrator must allow members to use link sharing first to send links.
Link sharing is not available for external group folders.
Create a link
You can share files or folders in your drive as links.
You can share by specifying who can access and view the links.
Link access permissions can be set as follows.
Share with | Description |
Public | Anyone with the link can access (Password optional) |
Company members | Anyone registered as a company member |
Specific people (OTP) | Only those who receive the OTP email |
The following functions are available to the person accessing the link, depending on the permissions granted.
