Mentions

This feature is available after applying for NAVER WORKS Core.

This feature allows you to send messages to specific users in the message room. A notification will be sent to the member, and their name will be highlighted in the message room, making it easy for them to find messages where they were mentioned.

Mention a member

Mobile

  1. Enter '@name' in the message input box or simply '@' to view a list of members in the message room.
    Tap @All to mention all users in the message room.
  2. Select the person to mention, enter a message, and tap the 'Send' button.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click a message room from the message room list.
  4. Enter '@name' in the message input box or simply '@' to show a list of members in the message room.
    Tap @All to mention all users in the message room.
  5. Select the person you want to mention, type your message, and press Enter on your keyboard.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click a message room from the message room list.

Notifications for mentioned messages

When mentioned in a message room, you will receive a popup and notification indicating "You've been mentioned." Your name will be highlighted in the message room for easy identification.

Message rooms with unread mentions are highlighted in the list.

Receive notifications for mentioned messages only

You can receive notifications only for mentions in specific message rooms, rather than for all messages.

Mobile

  1. Tap in the message room.
  2. Tap 'Notification Settings'.
  3. Tap 'Mentioned Messages' among the options.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click a message room from the message room list.
  4. Click at the top right of the screen.
  5. Click 'Notification Settings'.
  6. Click 'Messages with my name mentioned'.
  7. Click 'OK'.

PC App

  1. Click at the top left of the screen.
  2. Click a message room from the message room list.
  3. Click at the top right of the message room.
  4. Click 'Notifications'.
  5. Click 'Messages with my name mentioned'.
  6. Click 'OK'.

From then on, you'll only receive notifications when you're mentioned in a message.
