View, download, send photos and files

This feature is available after applying for the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

You can download photos, videos, and files attached to an email to your device, or send them to a message room or Drive folder.

However, attachments with a downloadable period can only be sent if they are sent or received via NAVER WORKS Mail.

Attachments in confidential emails cannot be sent to message rooms that contain external users, and attachments in confidential emails are restricted from being sent.

Files are automatically scanned when you download or send them to detect viruses for security.

However, if you download a file with a download, it will be excluded from the scan depending on its size.

View/download/send photos and videos

You can view photos and videos attached to emails. Also, you can download photos and videos to your device or send to a Drive folder or message room.

Mobile

Download to your device

  1. Tap the photo or video you want to download from the email.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap 'Save on device' to save the photo to your device, or tap 'Save to Drive' and select a location to save the photo to Drive.

PC Web

Download to PC

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Select the photo or video you want to download, and then click  .
    If you want to save multiple photos or videos at once, click 'Save all'.

 

Send to message room or Drive

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Select the photos or videos you want to send to the messages room or Drive folder. Then click .
    If you want to send multiple photos or videos at once, click 'Save all' and send them to the message room or Drive folder.

Edit and download photos

If the 'Mobile app file download' function is set as 'Do not restrict' in Admin, you can edit photos before downloading them.

Mobile

  1. Tap the photo you want to edit.
  2. Tap 'Edit'.
  3. If you need to edit the photo, use the functions below, and tap 'Apply'.
    Rotate
    Crop
    Draw

    If you want to revert your photo back to the original, tap 'Back to original'.

  4. Tap .
  5. Tap 'Save on device' to save the photo to your device, 'Save to Drive' to save to Drive, or 'Save to Folder' to select a location to save.

View/download/send attachments

You can download the attached document file to your device or send it to a message room or Drive folder.

  1. Press an attachment to view the content.

Send attachments

  1. Tap an email with an attachment.
  2. Tap to the right of the attachment name.
    Tap  to send all attachments to another service.
  3. Select a message room, member, or location in Drive, and then send the attachments.

Download an attachment on iOS devices

You can only download files to devices with iOS 11 or later versions. 

  1. Tap the attachment you want to download.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap  to save the attachment.

 

Download an attachment on Android devices

When you open a file on an Android device, the file is automatically saved to your device.

PC Web

Download to PC

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click an email.
  4. Select the file you want to download from the email, and then click  . If you want to save multiple files at once, click 'Save all'.

 

Send to message room or Drive

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click an email.
  4. In Mail, select the file you want to send to the message room or Drive folder, and then click   .
    If you want to send multiple files at once, click 'Save all' to send them to the message room or Drive folder.

View/save/send files with a downloadable period

When composing an email, the attachment will be automatically switched to 'Files with download time limit' when the following are both true:

  • Attachment exceeds the file size limit set by the administrator
  • The administrator has enabled the 'Files with download time limit' function

 

Download to device

'Files with download limit' can be downloaded up to 100 times within 7 days.

Files that pass the downloadable period and exceed the maximum number of downloads are automatically deleted and cannot be restored.

Viewing or downloading 'Files with download limit' is done the same way as regular attachments.

Send to message room or Drive

If you send or receive emails via NAVER WORKS Mail, you can send files with a downloadable period to the message room or Drive folder.

However, files that pass the downloadable period and exceed the maximum number of downloads cannot be sent, and they are not sent when 'Save all' is pressed.

Storage period for attachments in email

There is no limit in the storage period for general attachments, and are saved in the personal storage that is in use.

Delete an attachment

You can keep the contents of the email and only delete the attachments.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click on the email with attachments to delete on the Mail screen.
  4. Click  on the attachment you want to delete from the email.
  5. Click 'OK'.

You cannot restore the attachments you deleted.

Save an email to PC

You can save your email in .eml format to your PC.

When saving all emails in a mailbox, you can create a backup for the mailbox in the ‘Manage/Back up Mailbox' setting.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click 'Mail'.
  3. Click on the email to save to PC on the Mail screen.
  4. Open the email, and click 'More' on the top.
  5. Click 'Save to PC'.
