You can exchange NAVER WORKS emails by configuring POP3/SMTP or IMAP/SMTP in your email client.
The 'POP3/IMAP' setting will not be displayed if the administrator has not allowed the use.
Differences between IMAP and POP3
IMAP is different from POP3 as per the following:
- Supports mailboxes, including personal ones in a folder format.
If you set up POP3 in any email client, you cannot export emails in Sent, Spam, and Trash.
Using IMAP supports all mailboxes, such as Sent, Spam, and Trash, in the form of folders across email clients on smartphones and other devices. - The server's mailboxes and the email client’s mailboxes are synced to ensure their contents match.
When using IMAP, any changes made to your mailboxes—such as deleting, copying, or moving emails—on email clients set up on smartphones and other devices will be reflected in NAVER WORKS Mail.
You can access the same email account from multiple email clients simultaneously, and changes made in one program will be reflected in the others. However, there may be limits on the number of simultaneous accesses to ensure performance and service quality. - You can preview part of an email before opening it.
When using IMAP, email clients can preview the header and a portion of the email before downloading the entire email. Preview parts of email, which helps reduce data usage in mobile environments compared to POP3.
