Preview document files

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Drive or the Standard or Standard Plus plan of NAVER WORKS Core.

Preview document files

You can preview the following document files stored in Drive without downloading them to your device.

  • MS Office files (DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX)
  • NAVER Office files (NDOC)
  • PDF files (PDF)
  • Hangul files (HWP, HWPX)
  • Other files (CSV, TXT)

 

The mobile app does not support previewing other files, such as CSV and TXT.
Preview is only supported if the administrator has enabled 'Restrict file download on mobile app' or 'Watermark' in 'Admin > Security > File Security'.

Mobile App

In Drive, tap the file you want to open with the Document Viewer.

PC Web

Double-click the file you want to open with Document Viewer in Drive, or click 'View Entire Content in the preview screen.

Drive App

Tap the file you want to open with Document Viewer or 'View Entire Content' in the preview screen.

Change document file view format

In the Drive app, you can preview word or text files.

  • Supported file formats: MS Office files (DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX), other text files (TXT)

Drive App

  1. Tap the file you want to open with Document Viewer or 'View Entire Content' in the preview screen.
  2. Change the view format.
  • : Switch to standard view (Displays the document as the original)
  • : Switch to mobile view (Enlarges text to fit the device)

Search text within a document

You can search and find text within a document.

  • Supported file formats: MS Office files (DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX), PDF files (PDF), other files (TXT)

PC Web

  1. Click at the top right of the preview screen.
    You can also search by pressing Ctrl + F or Command + F.
  2. Enter the text you want to find in the document.

Drive App

  1. Tap at the top right of the preview screen.
  2. Tap 'Find'.
  3. Enter the text you want to find in the document.
    However, ppt and pptx files do not support in-document search in the Drive app.
