Lock files

This feature is available after applying for NAVER WORKS Core.

If you do not want other members to edit the file in the message folder, 'File Lock ' function is available.

When a file is locked, other members can only read the file and cannot edit the file with the same file name.

When a file is locked, will be displayed on the list.

Lock a file

Members with the permission to edit can lock files in the message room folder.

Mobile

  1. Tap of the file to lock.
  2. Tap 'More Info'.
  3. Enable 'File Lock'.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click a message room from the list at the left.
  4. Click the 'Folder' tab right of the message room.
  5. Click right to the file you want to lock.
  6. Click 'File lock'.

Check the file lock information

You can check the lock date and locker information for locked files.

Mobile

  1. Tap next to the file you want to check the lock information.
  2. Tap 'More Info'.
  3. Check the lock date and who locked it.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click a message room from the list at the left.
  4. Click the 'Folder' tab right of the message room.
  5. Click next to the file you want to check the lock information.
  6. Click 'Locked file information' to check the 'Locking date' and the 'User who locked the file' in the 'Locked file information' window.

Unlock a file

Members with the permission to edit can unlock files in the message room folder.

When a file is unlocked, the person who locked the file receives a notification.

Mobile

  1. Tap next to the file you want to unlock.
  2. Tap 'More Info'.
  3. Disable 'File Lock'.

PC Web

  1. Click at the top.
  2. Click 'Message'.
  3. Click a message room from the list at the left.
  4. Click the 'Folder' tab right of the message room.
  5. Click right to the file you want to unlock.
  6. Click 'Locked file information'.
  7. Click 'Unlock file' at the bottom of the 'Locked file information' window to unlock the file.
