Chat with external users

You can check information such as QR codes or message IDs required to chat with LINE users or external NAVER WORKS users, and add them as contacts.

You can also set permissions to allow external NAVER WORKS users to search for your mobile phone number.

However, this will only be displayed if the administrator allowed connecting with LINE users or external NAVER WORKS users.

Allow people to find you by phone number

External NAVER WORKS users can search for you by phone number and add as a message contact or send a message.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Home' at the bottom.
  2.  Tap .
  3. Tap 'Chat with External Users'.
  4. Enable 'Search by Phone Number'.
    • If you do not have a mobile phone number saved to your account, verify your mobile phone number. After the verification, 'Search by Phone Number' will be enabled.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile image at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click 'Chat with External Users'.
  3. Enable 'Allow search by phone number'.
    • If you do not have a mobile phone number saved to your account, verify your mobile phone number. After the verification, 'Allow search by phone number' will be enabled.

PC App

  1. Click at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click 'Settings'.
  3. Click the 'Chat with\nExternal Users' tab.
  4. In 'Search by Phone Number', click 'Go Allow'.
  5. Go to the PC web and enable 'Allow search by phone number'.
    • If you do not have a mobile phone number saved to your account, verify your mobile phone number. After the verification, 'Allow search by phone number' will be enabled.

Send your ID

You can share your ID with LINE users or external NAVER WORKS users.

LINE or external NAVER WORKS users can search for a shared ID to add you as a contact or send a message.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Home' at the bottom.
  2. Tap your name or profile photo.
  3. Tap of 'ID' to copy.
  4. Send the copied ID to others via SMS or email for them to add you as a friend.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile image at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click 'Chat with External Users'.
  3. Click to copy from 'My Message ID' of the 'Chat with External Users'.
  4. Send the copied 'My Message ID'.

PC App

  1. Click at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click 'Settings'.
  3. Click the 'Chat with\nExternal Users' tab.
  4. Copy your ID from 'My Message ID', and send the ID to others.

Send your contact URL

When you send your contact URL, others can simply press the URL to add you as a contact on LINE or NAVER WORKS.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile image at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click 'Chat with External Users'.
  3. Click to copy from 'Add Contact URL' of the 'Chat with External Users'.
  4. Send the copied content from 'Add Contact URL.

PC App

  1. Click at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click 'Settings'.
  3. Click the 'Chat with\nExternal Users' tab.
  4. Copy the URL in 'Add Contact URL' and send it to the person you want to start a conversation.

Send QR code

Send your QR code to let others scan and add you as a contact in LINE or NAVER WORKS.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Home' at the bottom.
  2. Tap your name or profile photo.
  3. Tap 'QR Code'.
  4. You can either show the QR code to others or tap the 'Save' button to save and send the image.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile image at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click 'Chat with External Users'.
  3. From the 'Chat with External Users' menu, click 'Save QR Code' in 'QR Code' to save the QR code to your PC and send it to others.

PC App

  1. Click at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click 'Settings'.
  3. Click the 'Chat with\nExternal Users' tab.
  4. Click 'Save' in 'QR Code' to save the QR code to your PC and send it to others.

Add contacts

You can add LINE users or external NAVER WORKS users as message contacts by sharing an invitation link or QR code.

Add NAVER WORKS contacts via search

You can search with the message ID or mobile phone number of a NAVER WORKS user from another company and add them as a contact or send a message.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile image at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click 'Chat with External Users'.
  3. In the 'Chat with External Users' menu, find 'NAVER WORKS Add Contact' and click 'Search Message ID/Phone Number'.
  4. Select 'Message ID' or 'Phone number' and search with the message ID or mobile phone number.
  5. Click 'Add' to add external NAVER WORKS users to your Contacts.
    If you do not know the user's ID or mobile phone number, click 'Invite via Email' to send an invitation email.

PC App

  1. Click at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click 'Settings'.
  3. Click the 'Chat with\nExternal Users' tab.
  4. In 'Add Contact', click 'Search Contact'.
  5. Select 'Message ID' or 'Phone number' and search with the ID or mobile phone number.
  6. Click 'Add Contact' to add the user to your contacts, or click 'Send Message' to start a conversation with the user immediately.

In manage blocked contacts, you can check and unblock the blocked contacts.
