Sync is a function that links a folder on your PC with a folder in NAVER WORKS Drive, allowing real-time updates to the folders on your PC based on changes made via the PC web, mobile app, or Drive Explorer.
You can select a folder among 'Collaborative Folders', 'Message Room Folder', 'My Drive', and 'Shared Folder' to sync with folders on your PC.Up to 3 PCs are supported.
Data restricted by Drive policies, such as file types restricted by the administrator, malware, and folders with special characters, cannot be synced. Sync is also not supported in the following cases.
- Sync with removable storage devices
- Sync with virtual drives
- Sync with Windows, Program Files folders and subfolders, and Desktop
By default, syncing is online-only (displayed as an icon on the file), so you can only access files in NAVER WORKS Drive as a folder on your PC when you log in to Drive Explorer.
If set to 'Always Keep on This Device', it will switch to the local state (displayed as an icon on the file) and can be accessed or edited even when logged out.
Sync settings
You can sync all folders and files in Drive in real-time with the folders on your PC.
For message room folders, sync can only be set for folders that are marked as 'View in Drive' or set as  'Always Show in List' .
When you select a PC folder to sync with NAVER WORKS, a folder named NAVER WORKS Drive will be created within that folder, and the sync process will begin.
However, the sync location must be specified as a subfolder on the disk partition (such as the C drive). An error occurs when selecting a disk partition as the sync location.

Folders that you don't use frequently can be excluded from syncing.
You can free up space on your PC and reduce sync time by disabling sync.
When unsyncing, online-only folders and files can no longer be viewed on the PC, and local-only or temporary local-only folders and files are moved to the PC's trash.
To prevent file deletion, check the auto-delete settings for PC trash before unsyncing.
