Managing Payroll

This feature is available after applying for WORKS Approval.

You can view your payroll, perform your year-end tax settlement, or view the results.

  • The Manage Payroll menu is displayed only when the company is using the Payroll service.
  • The Manage Payroll menu is not displayed for business accounts.

When accessing the View Payroll or View Year-end Tax Settlement menu, the Additional Authentication Login by the user is required.

  • Reauthentication is not required if you access another menu within the authentication duration (30 minutes).

Manage Payroll Account

You can manage the account to which you’ll receive your monthly payroll, bonuses, and retirement benefit.

  • You can register and edit your account only when the Payroll admin has set to allow the registration of your own account. For more information, see Set Payroll. If the account registration is not allowed, then each field in the Manage Payroll Account page is deactivated, and ‘Save’ is not displayed at the bottom.
  • ‘Manage Payroll Account’ is not displayed for business accounts.
  1. Click the icon at the top right of the PC web screen, and then click ‘My Work’ in the pop-up window.
  2. Click at the top left of the screen, and then click 'Manage Payroll > Manage Payroll Account' from the menu.
  3. Enter your payroll account information. When viewing, some information is masked to be displayed. If you want to edit, click 'Edit' at the bottom, log in for additional authentication and then edit.
    • For Payroll: the account to which you'll receive monthly payroll
    • For Bonuses: the account to which you'll receive additional bonuses
      • If you don't enter an additional account for bonuses, then the bonuses are paid to the account for payroll.
    • For Retirement Benefit: the account to which you'll receive the retirement benefit
  4. Click ‘Save’.
    • The entered payroll account information is registered.

Managing Part-timer Payroll Account

If you are using Part-timer payroll, you can manage the part-timer payroll account.

  1. Click the icon at the top right of the PC web screen, and then click ‘My Work’ in the pop-up window.
  2. Click at the top left of the screen, and then click 'Manage Payroll > Manage Payroll Account' from the menu.
  3. Enter your payroll account information. If you want to edit, click 'Edit' at the bottom.
  4. Click ‘Save’.
    • The entered payroll account information is registered.

View Payroll

You can view your payroll statement and payroll history.

View Payroll Statement

The following describes how to view your payroll statements.

  1. Click the icon at the top right of the PC web screen, and then click ‘My Work’ in the pop-up window.
  2. Click at the top left of the screen, and then click 'Manage Payroll > Search Payroll' from the menu.
  3. Click ‘View Payroll Statement’.
    • The payroll history for the current year is searched automatically.
  4. Set the period for searching payroll statement, and then click 'Search'.
    • The payroll history for the selected period will be displayed.
  5. Click for payroll history that you wish to view the payroll statement for.
    • The payroll statement that payroll month will be displayed in PDF format.

View Payroll History

You can view payroll history for the last 12 months in a single report.

The following describes how to view the payroll history.

  1. Click the icon at the top right of the PC web screen, and then click ‘My Work’ in the pop-up window.
  2. Click at the top left of the screen, and then click 'Manage Payroll > Search Payroll' from the menu.
  3. Click ‘View Payroll History’.
    • The payroll history for the current year is searched automatically.
  4. Set the period for searching payroll history, and then click 'Search'.
    • The payroll history for the selected period will be displayed.
    • To download the viewed salary history as an Excel file, click 'Download'.
      • Downloaded file will be stored in the Download folder as View payroll_View payroll history_YYYYMMDD_XXXXXX.xlsx.

Perform Year-end Tax Settlement

You can process your own year-end tax settlement and check for any additional tax due or applicable tax returns.

  • The Perform Year-end Tax Settlement menu is provided only if you have enabled the Payroll service.
  • The ‘Perform Year-end Tax Settlement’ menu is accessible only during the period when the payroll admin enables Year-end Tax Settlement menu under ‘Payroll > Year-end Tax Settlement > Manage Year-end Tax Settlement Schedule > Manage Tax Deductible Application Period’.
  • The Perform Year-end Tax Settlement menu is not provided for business accounts and part-time employees.

The following shows the steps for year-end tax settlement. For more details on carrying out steps 1 - 7 of year-end tax settlement below, see Settlement under ‘Payroll > Year-end Tax Settlement’.

8. Submit

After entering the data for applying for year-end tax settlement, click ‘Submit’ to submit.

  • Once submitted, ‘Print Income Deduction Report’, ‘Print Estimated Withholding Tax Receipt (Korean)’ and ‘Print Estimated Withholding Tax Receipt (English)’ will be displayed.
    • You can print the Income Deduction Report and submitted to the person in charge of year-end tax settlements with your supporting documents. Before submitting, check whether or not submission is necessary with the person in charge of year-end tax settlements.
    • If the Deducted Tax Amount Due on the estimated withholding tax receipt is a positive number, it indicates the additional tax amount due. If it is a negative number, it indicates the amount of tax return due. However, since the result is an estimate, the exact collected tax amount can be checked in the View Year-end Tax Settlement page after the year-end tax settlement is completed.

You can edit and re-submit the data multiple times after submitting the Year-end Tax Settlement application data once, but if you go to the previous stage to edit, the status automatically changes ‘Not Submitted’.
Please be sure to click 'Submit' to complete the submission.

View Year-end Tax Settlement

You can view your Income Deduction Report, Labor Income Withholding Tax Receipt, Housing Finance Survey required for the year-end tax settlement, and download the Labor Income Withholding Tax Records.

You can view them when the year-end tax settlement manager discloses the results after completing the year-end tax settlement.

The following describes how to view the year-end tax settlement data.

  1. Click the icon at the top right of the PC web screen, and then click ‘My Work’ in the pop-up window.
  2. Click at the top left of the screen, and then click 'Manage Payroll > Search Payroll' from the menu.
  3. Click the tab for the data you want to check.
    • Income Deduction Report: A form to fill out the deduction items to apply for and submit to the person in charge of year-end tax settlements.
      • If you've completed submission in ‘Perform Year-end Tax Settlement’, it will be created automatically and displayed in the list.
      • Click to view the created report and download it as a PDF file.
      • To check whether or not the Income Deduction Report was successfully submitted, contact the person in charge of year-end tax settlements.
    • Labor Income Withholding Tax Receipt: A form containing the details of withholding tax on labor income.
      • Click to view the created report and select Korean or English to download it as a PDF file.
      • If the status is not confirmed, it is displayed as ‘Draft’.
      • The confirmed Labor Income Withholding Tax Receipt can be submitted to financial institutions as needed.
    • Labor Income Withholding Tax Records: Reference form used outside the period permitted to print Labor Income Withholding Tax Receipt.
      • After year-end tax settlement is completed, click ‘Download’ to download the labor income tax receipt.
      • The Labor Income Withholding Tax Records can't be viewed monthly, but only yearly.
    • Housing Finance Survey: By clicking , you can check and print the survey data you entered in the ‘Perform Year-end Tax Settlement’, such as for housing rental loans, long-term home mortgage loans, home purchasing savings, and monthly rent.
      • It must be submitted with Income Deduction Report. Contact the person in charge of year-end tax settlements to check for successful submission.
